“A very sleepy early start but EXTREMELY worth it. Our driver Singgih was on time and very pleasant. Picked us up within minutes of our excursion being over and took us to a coffee plantation. The trek itself was difficult but manageable as a not very avid climber. We were met at the start with coffee/tea. Then we were met by our guide Nyoman who was amazing!! Whenever there was a difficult part to climb/ descend he was there to help straight away. There was 4 of us in his group and he made sure we were all okay throughout. A very cheerful/ friendly guy, couldn’t fault him at all.…”

“We had a wonderful experience! The transport from our hotel in Ubud to mount Batur (and back again) was good. Our trekking guide told us about the history of the Volcano, and the view at the top was magnificent. We did with the hot spring, and did not regret that decision. After a hike and a long day, we enjoyed 1,5 hours in heated pools. We finished with a visit to a luwak coffee plantation, testing different teas and coffees. In total a wonderful day.”

“Our driver Adi was excellent, respectful (especially considering the 1:30am start), and had great English. This walk is definitely worth it and the sunrise is amazing. You can see surrounding islands, sea and mountains glowing as the sun comes up and it is a great place to see stars. Make sure to bring a warm jacket as you’ll be sitting down and the top of the mountain is cold. It’s a 2 hour vertical climb and it’s easier than we expected (but definitely a work out). Don’t plan anything for the rest of the day - except maybe a massage. Also good idea to bring snacks.”

The setting for the coffee plantation is very beautiful plus you get to sample many types of coffee and tea. My guide Tekila was excellent.
