The trek itself was difficult but manageable as a not very avid climber. We were met at the start with coffee/tea. Then we were met by our guide Nyoman who was amazing!! Whenever there was a difficult part to climb/ descend he was there to help straight away. There was 4 of us in his group and he made sure we were all okay throughout. “The trip was overall very fun! Our guide picked us up in a 1976 Volkswagen convertible. Our car did not have seatbelts unfortunately so something to keep in mind. Definitely needed a jacket on the way to mount batur because it was very windy with the convertible roof down and it was cooler since it was so early. The scenery on the way there was beautiful and our guide stopped to take photos of us on the way. The hot springs was great and relaxing with amazing views.
